SeQuoiia the artist is an exciting singer and musician from The Bay. SeQuoiia, born in San Francisco,  has moved through the Bay Area’s rich artistic scenes including Afro-Brazilian, Latin Jazz, Soul, and Rap leaving a trail like a fiery comet. With a wide vocal range, a moving voice and an unparalleled natural feel for rhythm and groove, he creates a soundscape of complex, sharp yet dirty beats overlaid with Afro rhythms and jazzy funk bass lines. Often incorporating Latin melodic elements in fresh ways, one hears Brazil, Cuba or West Africa in the subtleties of the layered beats while the tracks fundamentally groove and vibe as soulful hip hop. His extraordinary vocals pull from the roots of Black music and land smack dab in the absolute here and now of contemporary Rhythm and Blues. That’s not to say the songs aren't atmospheric. SeQuoiia's natural and unique feel for production creates deeply emotive passages and moments that border on Afro Futuristic. It is the sound of evolving sophisticated free form R&B and alternative hip hop.
